As the Worship leading choir at Highland Park First Baptist Church, our hope and desire is to glorify God in all we do; to “give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness and . . . sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High” (Psalms 7:17). God tells us to sing to Him and to praise His holy name (Psalms 30:4), so that’s what we do.
In the Bible we find many words of praise and worship and it is our duty and privilege to magnify the name of the Lord through song. Highland Park’s FBC Sanctuary Choir is a group of singers from different journeys of life who come together with the main reason of giving glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our Choir sings regularly for Sunday morning services and some special services. Weekly rehearsal is held every Wednesday night in the Choir Room from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm, following the Wednesday night Bible Study.
Also, throughout the year, our choir sings in several special productions such as Easter and Christmas Major Musicals.
In order to become a member of the choir, we ask
that you be a professing Christian, a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church, and give prayerful consideration to giving your time and talent to the Lord through the ministry of music.
