Allison Heider, Day 8

Today we went to Nasadegu for church! I enjoyed going there and seeing familiar faces. It’s fun to see how much the kids have grown since the last time I was here! After church we drove up the mountain for lunch, it was beautiful! I love looking at the mountains because it reminds me how big and powerful God is!

Gaby Colson, Day 8

Our last day in the field. We spent the morning in Nasedgu worship with brothers and sisters. I’ve looked forward to this Sunday. I remember going hut to hut telling people a church was being built and inviting them and telling them about Jesus. It was the first time I had someone look me in the eyes and tell them they never…

Sunday 4/28/24 This morning we got easy to go to Nasadegu for church. We all love going there and seeing familiar faces. Ed preached from Philippians and Gabby and Allie taught the children. Such a sweet time. Sitting with the ladies, the singing and a bit of dancing. The church was very gracious and all came one by one to give a…

Malawi 4/28 So…the whole team except me woke up with let’s call it intestinal distress this morning. No clue what’s causing it, but nobody let it stop them. Took some stoppers & headed out to church! We went to Nasedegu today. It was a rather slow start with many of the people trickling in late. Not uncommon here in Africa. But as…

Pastor Ed, Day 8

April 28, 2024 Today was Nasedegu. I learned today that what I thought was a rough hard beginning, was even worse than I knew. This was the village that we couldn’t let the women go out with us when we showed the Jesus film. Much was going on that made that night a very dangerous endeavor. I learned tonight that they were…

Allison Heider, Day 7

Saturday we did three Bible camps in three different villages! It was awesome to see how many kids came and how engaged and happy they were about the singing and lesson they heard from each of us! It reminded me of my first time here when I would have to teach. I used to get so nervous and wouldn’t want to do…

Saturday 4/27/24 2 Corinthians 7:1 Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. A cooler morning and actually a cooler day as well. Our morning started off like many others with quiet time and coffee. Ed made us a breakfast of eggs and toast…

Karey McGlinchey, Day 7

Malawi 4/27 This morning we talked about 2 Corinthians 7 where Paul talks about his letter of reprimand to the Corinthian church. As with Paul, we should not shy from correcting sin when we see it in fellow believers, but it needs to be done in love with the intent of reconciliation both to God and men. We discussed how worldly grief…

Gabby Colson, Day 7

Today we had 3 bible camps in 3 different villages. Every time we would pull into the villages Ovi would start honking so kids would know we were here. Once they saw us driving in all the kids started chanting ‘white people’ lol We had a great time in each village spending time with the kids, singing, and teaching Bible lessons. We…

Pastor Ed, Day 7

April 27, 2024 Three different bible clubs today, and most I can remember from past years. But first we had to stop to make sure that we had enough candy to hand out to all who came [you can see all the pictures on our Mission to Malawi Page @ HPFBC.com/Malawi. The ladies did all the teaching today, 2 lessons at each…
